Ambiguity Study Of Network Emoticons

Network emoticons are composed of characters,text,graphics,etc,used to simulate the human facial expressions,gestures and body movements demeanor,conveyed in the network communication of visual nonverbal symbols.Network communication consists of text symbols and network emoticons,emoticons play an effect of atmosphere of emotion attitude and the creation of context.Ambiguity refers to a kind of symbol of two or more significance,the thesis with the help of semiotics theory and communication theory of auxiliary,research network emoticons polysemy.First of all is the truth,to research the related concept of carding.Clarify the concept of network emoticons and stage of development,do a preliminary understanding to the object of study.Followed by the behavior level,through the analysis of the electronic questionnaire,show network emoticons ambiguity;Using semiotics theory analyze the polysemy of network emoticons,in the analysis using the signifier and the signified,concepts such as encoding and decoding to elaborate.Finally the value level,from the characteristics of network emoticons and its significance in the communication process,to analysis the causes of ambiguity,this paper analyzes the main reasons: spread situation.And considering the influence of the network emoticons ambiguity can produce,will cause deviation interpretation and communication barriers.Network emoticons polysemy,on the one hand,it can make the audience read implied meaning,make the person to the extension of thoughts;It also can enrich the connotation and forms of emoticons,increasing network communication of interest;On the other hand,It can make the audience produce ambiguity and cause deviation interpretation;It may also bring communicator and recipients understand the spread of communication barriers.In this paper,the ambiguity of network emoticons are comprehensively analyzed,but the meaning of emoticons can produce some new changes with the development of society,therefore,emoticons ambiguity resolution should be a dynamic development process.
