With the continuous improvement of embedded processor performance,embedded technology has penetrated into various fields. The video surveillance system based on embedded platform is gradually developing towards the direction of intelligence, which changed from the simple video image capture to the video processing system that can independent analyze the video data. This kind of embedded monitoring system has higher intelligence,which is the development trend of video surveillance system in the future. Some already have been applied in real life,such as:face detection and recognition system, monitoring and alarm system, etc.This thesis studies the moving target automatic tracking system based on the embedded platform,which introduces in detail the research background,significance and emphasizes the importance of this research combined development status of domestic and foreign with the practical problems in application. This system is embedded the moving target tracking algorithm,which enables embedded devices to independently analyze and process video data,enhances the intelligence of embedded device.The main work of this paper is to design the overall scheme of the system according to the function, then build the hardware platform and software platform respectively, and finally complete the design of the application program. Hardware devices include:OK6410 development board,USB camera, wireless wifi module. As the hardware are ready-made modules, just a simple assembly can be. Software platform construction:xutting and porting of Linux operating system, designing the driver of camera and wifi, transplantating the libraries of OpenCV and Qt required by the application. After completed the platform building, we can write the functional application: Video data collection, Designing Target Tracking Algorithm, Video data transmission, Display of tracking results. Embedded device using v412 to collect video data, and then using the moving object tracking algorithm based on OpenCV to deal with the collected data.Finally, the processing data either display on local platform, or display on the PC or other the PDA device with wireless communication function through the wireless network transmission.The simulation results show that the moving target automatic tracking system based on the embedded platform can achieve the initial goal and realize the real-time tracking of moving objects. It can explain the design ideas and programs of the system having a certain guidance and reference value for the application of embedded system in visual tracking.Finally,summarizes the thesis,points out the ideas and methods of improvement, makes a prospect for the future development of the research.
