In recent years,with the development of big data,cloud computing,mobile Internet,high definition video,video and audio calls,the network bandwidth requirement of users shows an exponential growth trend;at the same time,with the target of complying with the strategy of Broadband China and Fiber to The Home,the access network is developing fast.Even though the traditional time division multiplexing network is mature,it cannot meet the demand of customers.People pay more attention to the novel optical access network combining wavelength division multiplex and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing.Additionally,in order to increase network bandwidth,decrease service delay,the advanced dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithms aware of both efficiency and fairness have a great progress,developing from traditional time slot to the three-dimensional schedule of time,frequency and wavelength,from single standard to multi-service and multi-user standard.The research work in this paper is supported by the national 863 project and national natural science funds.This paper focuses on the research of network architecture and the dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithms.The content of research work and main innovation points in this paper is summarized as the following aspects:(1)The technologies of PON and DBA algorithms were presented in this paper.The characteristics of Long Reach Optical Access Network and the requirement of peer-to-peer communication among ONUs were analyzed.The different DBA algorithms were compared in this paper.(2)The round-trip time and the number of users increase in the Long Reach PON,so a system architecture of clustered Long Reach WDM-OFDM-PON and WDM-OFDM-Combined DBA scheme aware of classes of service and service level agreement were proposed in this paper.The proposed system architecuture and DBA algorithm were simulated.The comparison results showed the advanced perfomance of service delay and network throughput.(3)A WDM-OFDM-PON system architecture supporting peer-to-peer communication among ONUs and the wavelengths resources elastically allocated DBA algorithm were proposed in this paper in order to fix the problem of peer-to-peer communication among ONUs.The proposed system architecuture and DBA algorithm were simulated,and the simulation results showed us the reductions of traffic delay and increments of network throughput.
