Since the 1990s, with the advent of the world's first trading card game "Magic", the market of trading card game has been booming, and now there are varies of them. Many of the trading card game become popular because of the fun of collecting varies of cards, the freedom of create decks, and the competitiveness of fighting with other players.However, the randomness, which because players have to randomly draw cards from deck, makes people cast doubt on its competitiveness.Low-level players don't want to play trading card game because of its difficulty, while high-level players refuse it because its randomness,which makes its development restricted.For changing this situation, at first, this thesis illustrates the meaning of playing games and the factors that people pursue, and analyzes the significance of trading card game, investigates the market situation, and evaluates its advantages and disadvantages based on the statistic result.Then, we summarize the key elements of trading card game, illustrate its design process, and find an innovative way of design which embraces the essential requirement of game player. After that, we design an innovative game based on the analysis of the key elements and the purpose to improve the rule of game, which called "Yin Yang Master". The essential difference between this game and traditional trading card game is that players can draw whatever card they want from their deck, which completely eliminates the randomness from game, and therefore make this game more competitive. Because of eliminating the randomness, this game faces the risk that people may play it with similar pattern. In order to fix that, this game uses "Yin Yang Wu Xing" rules to make people use different strategies. After the game design completed, times of actual trial have done to analyze the effect and collect the feedback of players. Times of version change are made based on actual effect of game, until this game finally fulfill expectation.
