From simple WEB application to voice,video,social networks and other multimedia services,mobile business is becoming more and more plentiful.The diversity of mobile business has brought new changes in the carrying network.Following the transition from voice to data migration,the packet transport network has been widely deployed and applied.However,the new changes,such as the explosive growth of the bandwidth guarantee demand,intelligent management of massive business and new business,put forward new challenges to the packet transport network.SDN architecture has changed the traditional network's control mode of the data plane,by peeling off the controller plane from the device.The centralized control plane provides the foundation for the overall control of the network state,which will provide the possibility for the realization of network optimization and rapid deployment of the business.In order to solve the problems faced by the packet transport network,it is meaningful to introduce SDN into the packet transport network,which leads to the development of packet transport network to software defined packet transport network.Firstly,in order to realize the rapid deployment of business and dynamic optimization of the network,this paper designs and implements a hierarchical software defined packet transport network architecture.According to the acquisition of global topology and real-time detection of network state,users can easily send the required business via the application layer,and rapidly complete business deployment.Simultaneously,in the proceeding of tasks,we utilize the dynamic equilibrium strategy to adapt the network using for the load balancing.Secondly,this paper proposes a path protection mechanism under the scenario of software defined packet transport network.The software defined packet transport network provides a new way for the protection of the link,in which the distributed protection scheme is transformed into a centralized way under the control of a controller.This paper systematically describes the process of the protection mechanism,which includes the establishment of the protection link,the fault detection,the start of the protection and the generation of the new protection path.Finally,we verify the feasibility of the software defined packet transport network architecture,and test the relevant functions.Through the test,we find that the proposed architecture can accurately obtain the global network topology,rapidly deploy the business,and realize the simple load balancing.In addition,the link protection mechanism proposed in tihis paper is also been proved to have ability to protect the business.At the end,this paper gives a summary of the work,and points out some problems in the architecture,and puts forward the research directions of the future work.
