After the explosive development in the 1990s,Internet has penetrated into all aspects of our daily life,and the scale of users expanded rapidly.VoIP,video on demand and other emerging interactive services,which have more detailed and more stringent requirements on the performance of network,gradually surpassed the proportion of traditional file transfer service.However,due to the distributed architecture of traditional network,it is difficult to satisfy the requirements of various services,reducing the utilization of network resource.Many solutions have been proposed,but none got a satisfactory effect.Researchers began to consider redesigning the architecture of network,and based on the experience from computer filed,they wished to control the network in software manner.After the research about active network and separation control plane from data plane,ultimately software defined network was propose to realize the vision of network programmable.The centralized and software-based control capability of software defined network brings infinite possibility to the research and innovation of network,especially for network resource allocation.Based on the network-wide visibility and the program capability,the global optimal policy and dynamic response to network changes can be achieved.In this paper,we designed an intelligent network resource allocation scheme based on software defined network.Application identification module extended the network with service identification capability to conduct targeted network resource allocation based on the demand characteristic of services,making the utilization of network resource more efficient;simultaneously based on the network-wide link state information collected and maintained by network status maintenance module,we preferentially chose lighter load link resources,making the allocation of network more balanced.Resource allocation module integrated the service information and link state information,we got the optimal path meeting conditions.Combined with distinguishing the forwarding operation of different services based on priority queue provided by the queue mechanism module,we satisfied the requirements of various services,while improved the utilization efficiency of network resource.
