With gradual intelligence and automation development of distribution network, it is more and more important to strengthen application of power communication technology in power grid. Power communication network is the key communication infrastructure to realize power grid intelligence and ensure safe and effective operation of power network. Therefore, it needs to establish a flexible, real-time and reliable data communication in power communication network.Distribution communication network is closely part which is linked with users. The operation of distribution network directly affects user’s power quality, and it is also the key to improve efficiency of power grid operation and innovative user services. Nowadays, great changes have been made in service demand of distribution network, which has higher requirement in real-time, reliability and so on. Research on network optimization for exiting distribution communication network is beneficial for meeting more and more requirements for communication services,beneficial for development of smart distribution communication network,and significant to safe and effective operation of the whole power grid.Firstly, the significance of smart distribution communication network in smart grid and its network architecture are analyzed and studied in this paper. Different business of distribution communication network and corresponding business requirements are summarized. And several common communication methods of distribution network are introduced briefly. According to the analysis of data communication business, determine the use of power line carrier communication and wireless mesh communication as research object, power line carrier communication and wireless mesh network are chosen as research object,and access point location optimization during network construction initial stage and network resource allocation during running are proposed to optimize distribution communication network. In order to solve these problems effectively by these two aspects, two problem models for access point location optimization problem and network resource mapping problem are respectively established, and effective heuristic algorithms are selected to solve these problems.With the wide application of virtualization technology in distribution communication network, it is able to use virtualization technology to meet multi service demand. Because of different business requirements of distribution communication network, the single communication mode cannot meet them. So, a PSO-based smart distribution communication network virtual mapping algorithm. Firstly, the communication framework of power line carrier communication and wireless mesh network is used as research object by considering demands of control &operation division and management & data division. Where, when power line carrier communication meet certain requirements of control &operation division, wireless mesh network is responsible for remaining requirements of two divisions. Then, problem model is established to maximize traffic throughput under constraint of real-time reliability.Using particle swarm algorithm to carry out sub carrier allocation to meet business requirements of wireless mesh network. Finally, in the simulation experiment, compared with other methods in terms of sub carrier allocation time, network reliability, the proposed method can not only satisfy real-time reliability of business requirements, but also get greater throughput.In the early stages of network construction, Data access point location optimization can not only reduce cost of network construction,but also improve communication performance of network. So an immune algorithm is proposed to solve optimal location problem of access points for distribution network. Firstly, considering cost of network construction,network reliability, real-time and fault tolerance ability to establish network access point planning problem model. Then affinity function and other related concepts of proposed immune algorithm are improved and instantiation, which is applied to access point planning problem to find location of access points. Finally, the validity of this method is verified by simulation experiment about effect of network reliability, delay and other aspects on network construction cost, and complete routing table information is given.Two aspects of network resource mapping and access point planning optimization are studied in this paper, which improves communication performance of distribution communication network, and has a certain significance for future distribution network optimization and development.
