As the growing of digital media, social networking, e-commerce and other applications, the main function of Internet has changed from the transmission of information into large-scale content distribution. Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) are the one of most important scenes among Internet content delivery, as the cars are known as "the world's third largest internet device". VANETs are kinds of wireless mobile ad hoc networks with open structure and rapid change. However, the traditional IP network is based on the IP address of the communication terminal as the communication model center. The communication quality is constrained by the network topology, for which the performance in the content distribution scheme based on IP network is not ideal. How to ensure that content distribution tasks can be carried out smoothly and efficiently in VANETs has been a hot topic in domestic and international research. In this paper, the characteristics of VANETs network are analyzed, and the efficient distribution scheme of VANETs network is studied. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of existing content distribution schemes with a simple scenario, and proposes an improved distribution scheme named HENDN (High Efficient Content Distribution Process Based on NDN). The scheme is based on the NDN network architecture, and redistributes the process of content distribution. It is supplemented by two innovative mechanisms - automatic handover and segmented random walk mechanism to achieve efficient content distribution. Simulation results of ndnSIM show that HENDN not only improves the distribution efficiency but also reduces the number of redundant packets in the scenario of single content requester requesting content.Secondly, in order to solve the discomfort of HENDN applying in the complicated vehicle scene, a strategy called SNC(Smart Networking Coding in NDN Data Packet Process) is proposed in this paper. This strategy improves the way that content providers respond to packets in NDN by involving the feature of efficient information transmission, which is the characteristic of network coding, and intelligently filters the response packets for the content providers by considering the position and speed of the vehicle of content requesters. Finally the strategy improves the efficiency of content distribution of HENDN in complex scenes.
