The terrorist attacks against public security usually occur,while the emergency disposal techniques and tools are relatively backward,resulting in huge casualties and property damage.The reconnaissance robots can be used to detect various landforms.It can reduce the risk of detection personnel being exposed to danger.At present,reconnaissance robot is gradually applied to disaster relief,anti-terrorism and other fields,and it achieve good performance.But in actual use,the problem is still prominent,which is concentrated on the usability of the robot interface.The usability problems lead to inefficient of user operation,the difficulty in learning how to use,and the low accuracy in task.Therefore,the research on the usability of reconnaissance robot interaction has certain practical significance.First of all,this paper summarize the interactive features of reconnaissance robot from the perspective of using scenes and using methods.It include three aspects:remote control,the lateral grip manner and the support of multi-dimensional devices.According to the interactive characteristics of reconnaissance robots,the usability design criteria for reconnaissance robots is proposed.It provide guidance for the development of the product sequences,and ensure the systematicness of robot interaction.It also provide the empirical criteria for evaluating the usability of robotic products and reduced the cost of usability evaluation.The advantages and limitations of the eye movement tracking based robot usability evaluation method is analyzed.The new evaluation method which take advantage the eye movement tracking technology is proposed.Eye movement tracking technology can help the designer to understand the intention and idea of user and verify whether if it is consistent with the design goal.Secondly,the reconnaissance robot eye tracking test is carried out.The gaze behavior of the test user is analyzed by thermogram and fixation graph.From the thermogram,it can be seen that how the user's gaze time been distributed.By analyzing the gaze path of the user,the designer can understand the priority of the gaze.The evaluation method which based on the eye movement tracking provide the internal basis for the optimization of the interface design.Finally,the new reconnaissance robot interaction interface is designed according to the insight which get from the usability test.Then the comparative usability test is carried out.It proves that the usability of the optimized interface has improved significantly.In addition,the thermogram and the gaze chart are used to verify whether the gaze area and the gaze path of the user are consistent with the design intention.Through the data analysis of the eye tracking experiment,it concluded that the optimized reconnaissance robot interface has more significant usability improvement.
