Academic journals are important academic resources.Today, they are not only important intermediary in information communication and knowledge sharing in academic research, but also the major criteria for evaluation of academic research and discipline development. They play an important role in the development of the discipline.Compared to other disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, journalism and communication is new.Despite the rapid progress in recent years, there is still a big gap compared with other subjects.Based on database of Chinese net database(CNKI)and Chinese social science citation index(CSSCI),this report used SPSS an d Citespace statistical analysis software to exam journals of journalism and commun ication in China, through the perspective of post and citation conditions. From the four aspects of journal publishing status, journal content distribution, influence of the journal and cocitation analysis,we found that:1)Unbalanced geographical distribution of journals of journalism and communication exists in China.2)Research in advertising is obviously inadequate.3)"Mountains" and political trend exist in the academic research.4)Substandard academic operation restricts the improvement of journal levels.5)Scholars team aging is not favorable to the develo pment of disciplines,as a secondary discipline, editorial and publishing is placed in a embarrassing position.Journals develop along with the development of the discipline. It is a normal phenomenon that problems emerge during the development. For the development of academic journals and the discipline,it is important for every academic researcher to start from their own with details.
