For two centuries,various electronic products have been developed rapidly,which greatly facilitates people's life.Besides,China's electronic products accounted for a large proportion of the import and export trade in the country in recent years,and the domestic consumer electronics market is also expanding.As for the production of those products,large output,rapid update and other characteristics put forward high requirements for the manufacturers.Owing to the quality of the product shell directly affects the appearance and tactile impression of the product,the manufacture of the product shell is the key link for the manufacturers to keep up with the market trend.At present,many manufacturers use metal shell as the shell of electronic products.In order to obtain a large number of qualified products,manufacturers use polishing and other surface treatment to the machine-shaping metal shell before the anodic oxidation,sandblasting and other processing procedure is used.In the above process,only the grinding and polishing process is very dependent on manual operation.Manual grinding and polishing is not conducive to safe production because it will produce a huge number of metal dust,which would deteriorate the workshop production environment seriously and endanger the health of workers.In addition,the quality of manual polishing and grinding is greatly influenced by the experience of workers and the production efficiency is low,which counts against the large-scale production.Aiming at the above problems,this paper developed an automated five-axis polishing and grinding equipment for a specified electronic product shell.The automatic clamping module and the polishing tools system which can realize the automatic clamping and the precise control of the polishing pressure was designed,the processing efficiency and quality was improved,and the processing requirements was met.The main research contents are illustrated as following,The technological requirements of polishing and grinding process were put forward.The pneumatic bistrique and sandpaper was chosen as polishing tools through the comparison of various polishing methods.The integral structure of the equipment was put forward,the degree of freedom and the polishing method was confirmed,the driving component of each axis was calculated and checked,the automatic clamping module and polishing tools system was designed.The static simulation analysis and the vibration modal analysis for the key parts of the equipment were carried out to verify the rationality of the structural design.Based on the analysis of the control requirements of the polishing motion,the machine control scheme was given,and the electrical control system was designed.The kinematics model was established according to the kinematic chain of the equipment.The trajectory planning of the polishing process was carried out;the motion of each axis was calculated by inverse kinematics and the following processing scheme for compiling complete NC program code was presented.The hardware selection of the polishing pressure control system and the principle of the pneumatic servo system was introduced,and the corresponding mathematical model was established to judge the stability of the system.The PID control method was used as the control strategy for the polishing pressure,the PID parameters was adjusted and the best combination of PID parameters was given.The factors affecting the quality of polishing were analyzed,and the influence of various factors on the polishing effect was explored through a series of single factor experiments.The main factors were studied through a set of orthogonal experiments.The experiments showed that the samples after polishing by the equipment can meet the requirements of the project.
