With the further development of modern warfare,radar and its function have become the most important components of battlefield weapon system and control.How to expand the radar detection range and improve its precision has become the two key factors in modern radar field research.Most of the channel Radar work is the air atmosphere,uneven atmospheric environment will have a refraction effect of radar waves.When the atmospheric refractive index gradient is so large that forming atmospheric waveguide layer,the radio waves will be trapped in the atmospheric wave duct to spread,so as to break through the influence of the Earth's curvature and form over-the-horizon transmission.The use of higher probability of evaporation duct can be achieved coastal,ship radar over-the-horizon detection,expanding the radar detection range,which is currently one of the hot topics in the radar technology research.However,the use of evaporation duct expands the radar detection range,at the same time it will form a radar detection blind spot,which is detrimental to radar detection.Therefore,it is a key technique to study the characteristics of radar blind spot and to supplement the electromagnetic blind zone by using evaporation duct to expand the radar detection range.One of the main purpose of this paper is to study the corresponding radar electromagnetic blind zone characteristics in the evaporation duct,the second is to study the approach to reducing the electromagnetic blind area.In this paper,the characteristics of atmospheric duct,evaporation duct and the effect of evaporation duct on radar performance are introduced.Secondly,two better calculation models of radar blind spot in evaporation duct environment are given in detail.The two calculation models are ray tracing method and parabolic equation method.The electromagnetic blind spot is simulated and analyzed by using these two methods,and the electromagnetic blind area map of radar at different emission angles is given.Then,through the analysis of the factors affecting the electromagnetic blind spot of the radar,the influence of radar parameters such as height,elevation angle,frequency,power and other radar parameters and waveguide height and waveguide strength on radar horns are simulated and analyzed in detail.The two calculation models draw the radar blind zone distribution under various factors,and the trend of radar blind zone under the parameter change trend is obtained,which provides a practical method to reduce the radarblind spot by adjusting the parameters to a certain extent.Finally,in order to further reduce the electromagnetic blind zone and expand the radar detection range,the blind pulse blindness strategy of radar is proposed by using early warning aircraft cooperating,MIMO radar technology and acoustic sensor networking technology.
