At present,the units of thermal power plant s are moving in large-capacity and high-power direction,which demands the thermo-automation with high level.In order to ensure the safety and economy of production,it is necessary to stu dy the advanced control strategies applied in thermal automatic control system.As a kind of advanced control strategy,the model predictive control has good control effect,strong anti-interference and robustness.Now it has been widely used.With the deepening in the research,the predictive function control as a third-generation model predictive control has been researched.In addition to maintaining the basic characteristics of the model predictive control,predictive function has a unique feature that it makes the control input structural.It not only solves the ambiguous control input,but also reduces calculation of the algorithm on the online and improves the algorithm in time.In a all,it has a strong application value.This paper studied the predictive function control algorithm deeply.First,this paper deduced the principle of single-variable predictive function control algorithm and analyzed its closed-loop performance and stability.This paper studied the predictive function algorithm of the single-variable object with delay,then simulated in the control of the intermediate point enthalpy of the once-through boiler.Then,based on the step response model,this paper deduced predictive function control algorithm in the no self-regulating process.A new predictive function control algorithm was proposed and applied in the boiler feedwater control.Finally,multivariable predictive function control algorithm was deduced based the state space model and successfully simulated in the coordinated control system.The feasibility and merits of the predictive function control algo rithm in thermodynamic automatic control are verified by the above research.
