Big fuel unit plant is a more complex controlled device with great delay,slow timevariance and uncertainty, especially, the great delay and big inertia of boiler, whichmakes the conventional PID controller cannot achieve satisfying control result.Predictive control has special advantage on handling target with great delay, therefore,generalized predictive control is applied to the main regulator of boiler of thecoordinated control system. In the paper, two improved generalized predictive controlalgorithm are proposed which are on the basis of generalized predictive control theory.One new method of generalized predictive control algorithm with predictive error anderror change rate and increasing factor is presented. Another new method of generalizedpredictive control based on fuzzy compensation is presented, application ofself-adaptation genetic algorithm in designing fuzzy compensator implements theparameter's online and real time self-adjustment.
