Spatial modulation is a recently proposed Multiple-Input Multiple-Output(MIMO)trans-mission technique.In SM schemes,and only one transmit antenna is active at any instant in spatial modulation system,combining the spatial resource and the traditio na l amplitude and phase modulation to convey information.So inter-channel interfere nce,antenna synchronization and High detection complexity in conventional MIMO systems are efficiently avoided.And because of the introduction of spatial resources to improve the spectral efficiency of the system,it has become a kind of MIMO technology with low cost and low complexity,received wide attention.Spatial modulation can only achieve receive diversity but not transmit diversity,as a result when the number of receiving antennas is smal,the bit error rate performance degrades due to the lack of diversity.Based on this,this dissertation introduces the method of antenna selection and other transmit-receive joint optimization technology,relay technology and other methods into the spatial modulation system.This paper focuses on the problem of improving the bit error rate performance of the spatial modulation system:Chapter 1 introduces research background of spatial modulation,and points out the research status.Chapter 2 review the traditional MIMO transmission schemes,that is classic MIMO diversity scheme and MIMO multiplexing scheme.And the system model of spatial modulation,generalized spatial modulation and orthogonal spatial modulation is introduced.Chapter 3 mainly discusses the bit error rate optimization scheme of spatial modulation system.Firstly,the existing antenna selection algorithms in the spatial modulation system are summarized,one of these algorithms is supplemented.And a transmit antenna selection algorithm for large scale spatial modulation system is proposed.Secondly,the algorithm of antenna selection in both transmitter and receiver is discussed.Finally,optimization schemes are proposed to optimize the bit error rate performance of generalized spatial modulation system.Chapter 4 studies the combination of spatial modulation system and relay system.Firstly,the spatial modulation system with multiple decode and forward relays is introduced.Secondly,two relay selection method based on this system are proposed,the system performance is improved and the resource is saved.Finally,a improved system is proposed,which reduce the complexity of the receiver detection.Chapter 5 summarizes the whole article,and investigates the possible future directions in the study of SM systems.
