With the developing of science and technology,people's demand for indoor location services is growing.Indoor location is studied more and more.Most indoor positioning technologies at present need for additional hardware and cost too much.Since coverage subject to hardware limitations,it is not practical for this positioning technologies to be applied to indoor environment.Indoor positioning technology based on wireless local area network can make full use of the existing infrastructure to positioning,with no need for any other equipment but mobile phone.due to this reason this positioning technology has become a hot spot in indoor positioning research.However,due to the complexity of the indoor environment and indoor electromagnetic environment,which seriously affect the positioning accuracy of positioning system,new content should be researched for indoor positioning technology based on wireless LAN.This paper has discussed current research status of indoor positioning,which is based on wireless LAN technology.And described indoor positioning's background and meaning.While focusing on wireless LAN indoor positioning method technology research which is based on location fingerprint,overviewed various indoor positioning technologies' current research status,and analysised those technology's advantages and disadvantages.Have done deep research on existing related research for improving positioning precision and positioning response speed.First of all,KNN algorithm is analyzed in detail and described the way how it is used as a matching algorithm.Meanwhile,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the KNN algorithm,as well as the factors that influence positioning precision.Proposed a fingerprint data preprocessing algorithm base on wireless signal attenuation.Analyzes the theory of wireless signal attenuation and real attenuation characteristics of it.Proved the reson why this algorithm can be used to achieve something by using KNN algorithm.And analysis this algorithm's profermence by using actual.Secondly,analyzed the behavior patterns of position Terminal.People's location will not change dramaticly.Since this feature a new aglorithm based on location continuity is proposed.The process of Matching data in KNN aglorithm is analyzed,particularly characteristics of the strong signal data in the matching process,proposed a matching algorithm based on signal intensity,and showed the performance in actual data.Finally,in order to verify the above studies in the actual environment and find out the positioning accuracy and responsiveness time,an indoor positioning system was designed and implemented by using fingerprint-based wireless LAN technology.implied the proposed algorithm,constructed a fingerprint database,tested the performance of this indoor positioning system.
