With the rapid development of wireless communication technology and indoor localization technology,it is an inevitable choice to combine them under the background of increasing market demand.To meet this demand,this thesis designs and constructs a system by combining the characteristics(large-capacity,low cost,low power consumption,low rate,etc.)of ZigBee wireless sensor network technology,with RSSI fingerprint database which is a significant anti-multipath indoor localization method.The auto-localization of mobile nodes is changed to non-automatic,which enhances the performance of indoor localization systems and takes full advantage of the large-scale deployment of ZigBee wireless sensor network.First this thesis introduces the research background and significance of indoor localization.Then it introduces the relevant technology of ZigBee wireless sensor network,various indoor localization mechanisms and the localization platform.Then,analysis and discussion of the overall design of the system have been conducted according to the needs of the project.At last the hardware and software part have been described.TI(TI,Texas Instruments)ZigBee wireless sensor network platform based on CC2530 are used for hardware design of the system.And in the software part,the implementation of network communication and localization algorithm is respectively completed by using ZStack protocol and Matlab.The main research work and innovation of the thesis are:The overall design of the localization system,including the overall analysis,communication localization frame selection and the communication protocol design is presented.A development localization algorithms is proposed and communication application software is carried out.The corresponding parts of the TI ZStack underlying protocol stack,application layer and ZDO have been modified and communication software has been developed to meet the functional requirements function of the system.We mainly actualize data communication,network construction,dynamic network access,RSSI extraction etc..Some new attempts have been made to establish the fingerprint and to improve localization algorithm by using historic data.The thesis realizes high accuracy estimation in the indoor environment,and successfully finishes the test with all the parameters of the intended target achieved.
