As one of the three applications of the 5G Internet of Things business will be an important future research field,radio frequency identification(RFID)technology as a key technology in the Internet of Things will also play a significant role.Tag as one of the RFID systems,its performance directly affects the overall efficiency of the system,the traditional RFID system tag's price is high because it contains chips,so the study of low-cost chipless tag is of great significance.The main task of this paper is to study the design method of chipless tags in RFID system.The mainly completed works are as follows:(1)A U shaped linear polarization RFID chipless tag with 4 bit encoding capacity is designed and realized.The structure of the tag is verified by HFSS simulator software,and the performance of the tag is improved by using the frequency selective surface principle.Finally,the optimum structure parameters of the tag are obtained,then the tag is manufactured and tested.(2)A dual polarization RFID chipless tag with 8 bit encoding capacity is designed and realized.The tag is based on the structure of the U shaped polarization tag.The tag can be operated in both horizontal and vertical polarizations wave.These two kinds of work do not interfere with each other,effectively improve the efficiency of the tag coding.The HFSS simulator software is used to simulate the tag,and the frequency selective surface principle is applied to improve the performance of the tag,and then the structure parameters of the tag is obtained.The tag is manufactured and tested.(3)A circular polarization RFID chipless tag with 3 bit encoding capacity is designed.The tag operates on the left-hand-circular polarization and right-hand-circular polarization states.Therefore,the tag is insensitive to the incident angle of the incident wave.A good practical value in real practice.The CST simulator software is used to optimize the design of the tag structure,and the performance of the tag is improved by using the frequency selective surface principle.Finally,the three tags designed in this paper are compared.
