With the increasing application of magnetic resonance imaging technology in neuroscience research, analyses of brain function emerge continuously, helping unravel the mysteries of the brain.Although there exist various designs for the traditional functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI)experiments, the setting of the experimental variables are limited to some extent due to the fixed experiment workflow. This work took the blood oxygen level dependent(BOLD)signal from Region-of-Interest(ROI)as the independent neuro-feedback variable to investigate the ability of healthy volunteers to volitionally control localized brain activity, with the feedback based on the realization of real time fMRI(rtfMRI)closed loop system.Simultaneous multi-slice imaging and parallel transmit technology were applied to improve the time resolution and spatial resolution in the study.Successful self-regulation of middle frontal gyrus was observed in the presence of images with negative impact. It was found that, compared with EPI and multiband-EPI,ZOOMit-EPI offers higher signal contrast between resting state and stimulus state in the activated regions.Improving the experiment workflow will not only enrich the variable design but also help increase the efficiency of clinical functional task scans. Therefore, this work proposed a novel experimental stimulation system with the function of updating task and monitoring. This system could switch the task presented to the subject according to the subject's brain activation. In practice, this system may have important applications owing to its ability of monitoring data quality and shortening the total time of scanning.
