The principle of signal processing based on vector array is to place the different vector sensors in different positions underwater to form the sensor array, and then receive and process the signal from the sound source through these arrays, extract the relevant information and characteristics of the signal, and suppress the corresponding noise and interference, the method has been widely used in marine exploration and research areas.Based on the vector hydrophone array, this paper studies the signal processing technology and positioning method,The main contents are as follows:(1)According to the rotation relationship between sound pressure and particle velocity, that is,the self-characteristic of acoustic vector array, this paper presents an improved ESPRIT algorithm formulation, which is suitable for any shape array. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed new form of ESPRIT algorithm,we use the Uniform Linear Array(ULA)and the circular array(Uniform Circle Array,UCA)to do experiment with two independent signals, respectively with030 and080 direction of the array, the experimental data show that the UCA 's estimated performance is better than ULA,in the lower signal to noise ratio, the smaller number of fast beat can get a higher probability of success and smaller RMSE.(2)Based on the principle of binary vector array, the localization method of spherical intersection and the intersection of hyperbolic intersection are introduced. The sensor array is used to detect the sound signal from the target of the sound source, and then the delay difference of the signal received by each sensor is calculated.Get the distance value of the target.Experimental data and results show that the method of spherical intersection is less affected by time measurement error and delay error, which is more ideal in practical application.
