On-line Laser-vision System For Measurement Of Sealing Strip's Section Profile

Automotive sealing strip has an indispensible effect on the promotion and security of automobile performance.Measurement of sealing strip's section profile is a difficult and hot topic in industry and academia.This paper proposes a measurement scheme for the measurement of automotive sealing strip's 360°section profile based on the principle of laser 3D vision measurement.And measurement system has been designed in this paper.Also related research has been done on key technology.According to the whole scheme,different kinds of hardware like cameras,lasers and so on,are purchased suitable for the site environment and the accuracy requirements of the project.The system has been built in the lab after the mechanical structure design.The measurement system obtains the whole section profile by using four structured-light sensors.According to the four sensors,this paper proposes a fast field unified calibration method and designs a newly “zigzag” 3D calibration target correspondingly.The system can accomplish the calibration of the four sensors at the same time and unify measurement coordinate system by using geometrical relationship of the 3D target.The calibration method is simple and easy to operate,which is very suitable for field application.This paper puts forward a method to process the 2D data of the section profile which is measured separately by four sensors and get more ideal two-dimensional coordinates of the gaskets section finally.Calibration experiment and accuracy experiment are designed and have been carried out in the laboratory.Different types of gauge blocks are used in the measurement experiments and the measuring results showed that the system can obtain the real-time gasket's section profile in a certain range.Measuring accuracy is within 0.2mm,and the system is stable while measuring.
