With the rapid development of 3D modeling and 3D scanning technology,the scale of 3D mesh data is also growing rapidly,the problem of processing and storage these data are becoming more and more serious.In the recent years,there are numerous researches on 3D mesh processing,however,no complete systems for 3D mesh data processing and compressed storage exist.Accordingly,we build a comprehensive 3D mesh processing system on cloud platform.The system integrates three modules:preprocessing,processing and compression storage.In the preprocessing module,we propose methods to reconstruct the Poisson surface of the point cloud and correct the posture estimation of 3D face modeling.In the processing module,we present a mesh subdivision and simplifying method.Meanwhile,an efficient 3D mesh compression algorithm is realized.Compared with the commonly used 3D mesh compression algorithms,it is more efficient and has lower decompression complexity,which can effectively solve the massive 3D mesh storage problem.Our system is built on the cloud platform,which can process data according to different users 'needs.Moreover,in order to improve the interoperability of the system,we make use of the hybrid mobile application development technology to design an application App,which allows the user to set the corresponding module parameters and transmit the 3D mesh data conveniently.In addition,the designed App implements a new SVG-based node editor on the mobile platform.Users can freely combine the various 3D mesh processing modules,which greatly improves the scalability of the system.And the node editor provides a new idea for the development of mobile interactive interface.
