Microwave tube has widely used in radar,electronic countermeasures,communications and other fields,as their wavelength is short,frequency is high,bandwidth is wide and other good characteristics.The microwave tube is an electronic system that can convert the power of electronic beams to the power of microwave that can amplify the power of microwave signal during the wave is interacted.With the developing of the military and economic,people make a higher stand on the working frequency,power,the band and other aspects of the microwave tube.The multi-electron-beam microwave tube can meet these requirements to a certain degree.The collector is one of the most important parts of the microwave tube,that can improve the efficiency of the tube by recovering the power of electronic beams,and the beams are coming out of the interaction zone.In this paper,the design of multi-electronic-beam collector has studied based on the microwave tube simulator suit MTSS.This paper has spread mainly around the following aspects:This paper give a theoretical analysis of the electric field intensity distribution in collectors,as well as the theoretical calculation of the collector performance.Because of the different voltage applied to the electrodes of the collector,the collector electrode will have a certain electric field distribution.The electric will change their trajectories due to the electric field force,which will affect the collector's performance.Here provided the calculation of the distribution of the electric field in the collector in three methods.In the collector,the ratio of the electronic field to the transverse direction and the longitudinal direction is related to the position of the point.It is assumed that the ratio is a fixed value,through the analysis of the entry conditions,we can calculate the location of the electronic hit the collector and so as to calculate the collector efficiency and return rate.The maximum efficiency difference between the calculate and the simulate is 2.4% and the minimum difference is 0.72%.Because the design of the single electron beam collector is the basis of the design of the multi-beam collector,therefore,this paper also studies the design of single electron beam collectors.In the design of the collector,the selection of the structural size of the collector is the focus in the design of the collector.Here give a method to calculate the size of the structure,the size of each electrode can be calculated by calculating the thermal power generated by the electrons at the collector level.The efficiency of the collector with that structure is 81.42%,and the optimized efficiency is 84.25%.This paper has also designed the four-electron-beam collector on the base of single beam collector.The structural dimensions of the multi-electron-beam collector can be calculated by the method,that can calculate the size of the single electron collector structure,and the simulation is carried out by MTSS.The finally the efficiency of the collector is 81.36%.The key factors of the optimization process of multi-electron-beam collector have also been discussed and the optimization requirements of collector are described as well.
