In the field of power management,switching power supply is widely used in most power supply systems for its high conversion efficiency.As an important part of switching power supply,the DC/DC converter is popular with mobile phones,digital cameras and so on.As the functionality of electronic devices increases,power supply systems can be more complex so that systems need multiple type topologies of DC/DC converter to keep power.A traditional DC/DC controller chip can be applied to a type topology,while this DC/DC controller chip can be applied to a variety of converter topologies.It makes the controller chip meet more applications and more flexible.This paper designs a DC/DC controller chip which can be applied to a variety of converter topologies.Based on the analysis of different converter topo logies,it is found that the DC/DC controller chip must be able to handle positive and negative output voltage.That is the key to be suitable for multiple converter topologies.This requires that the error amplifier is able to amplify the positive and negative feedback input voltage.According to the above requirements,this paper carries on the corresponding design.This paper introduces the research background and development of switching power supply.Then analyzes the four different topologies of DC/DC converters,analyzes the design method of error amplifier.By adding a threshold voltage detect ion,level shift and tail current switching circuit,the two error amplifiers can be combined to achieve the amplification of positive and negative input voltage of the error amplifier.In order to verify the feasibility of the error amplifier in this paper,the other module circuits of the controller chip are designed.The process of HHN EC 0.35?m 40 V is used to simulate the topological circuit of Boost,SEPIC and inverting converter.The circuit simulation results of the three kinds of DC/DC converters show that the controller can work in different DC/DC converter topologies,and it also verifies that the error amplifier designed in this paper works properly at positive and negative input voltage.
