| With the development of digital technology and popularization of network and individual digital terminal,digital media grants its users two-way communication narrative texts,and provides intersensory narrative environment to its users by multichannel interaction styles.The new narrative form Interactive Storytelling attracts more attention in the public.Users have many rights on equal communication and choosing narrative trends in Interactive Storytelling texts.Traditional narration is an author-oriented subjective way of creation,transforming into a user-oriented Interactive Storytelling.This paper mostly focuses on taking part in the process of digital media narration and having better user experience and emotional satisfaction.This paper summarizes four Interactive Storytelling forms about users by collecting and analyzing existed digital media interactive storytelling works,which are “positively participation in early interaction”,“narrative texts based on users’ choice”,“narrative texts based on users’ creation”,“additional meanings for complete work.” This paper analyzes these four forms respectively with different cases,and summarizes design elements of user-oriented interactive storytelling from narrative structures,person-to-person interaction and human–computer interaction,combining with three-phase design methodology of Emotional Design,which are Visceral,Behavioral and Reflective,to come up with emotionalized design strategy of digital media interactive storytelling.This paper provides a theoretical example for user-oriented digital media interactive storytelling narrative design by summarizing emotionalized design strategy and make sure that designers can carry out their works from “locating reified customers’ demands”,“designing emotional narrative content”,“building intersensory narrative environment”,“setting friendly interactive mode”,and “updating dynamic user feedback”,and furtherly popularizes digital media interactive storytelling narrative design to more extensive digital media platforms so as to provide users much more exciting narrative experiences and enrich the diversity of cultural transmission and artistic creation. |
