Gyro-TWT has been proved to be the inevitable choice for the next generation of long-range and high-power millimeter wave imaging radar transmitter,due to its high output power and broad bandwidth.The phase properties of the gyro must meet the requirements of the radar system In order to realize the radar application.The main indicators including time stability of phase,continuity of the phase change with the input frequency(phase frequency characteristics),continuity of the phase change with input amplitude(amplitude and phase characteristics),the changing trend of the phase with the applied voltage and emission current and other indicators.The radar system has strict requirements on these targets,and the design of the matching unit of radar receiver and transmitter is also affected by these indexes.These parameters and high frequency structure of Gyro-TWT commonly determine the beam wave interaction process,we must establish the physical model of these parameters under the given boundary conditions on the output of the phase influence in order to effectively optimize the high-frequency structure of Gyro-TWT so that the output phase to achieve the requirements of radar equipment.However,a higher mode purity,lower transmission loss,and broad frequency opera properties ting range contribute to the ohmic loss,phase and dispersion measurement.This paper first studies the variation tendency of phase under different coupling coefficients and reflection conditions,and then given when the border appears under disturbance conditions,coupling and reflection to the effects of phase change,finally the situation of the phase change with working mode is given.By studying these above problems,it is to ensure efficient amplification and make the rational boundary of the cold field phase with controllable changes,guarantee the output phase does not appear distortion and phase jump,the gyrotron traveling wave tube output phase with the changes of the working frequency of continuous and controllable and the holding the phase consistency between tube and tube.
