In the modern era of rapid development of science and technology,the frequency synthesizer still plays an important and unshakable role in the field of radio frequency equipments.The quality of frequency synthesizer in a system directly decides the overall performance of many important indicators.Now,with the rapid development of radio communication technology,space technology and radar technology,people put forward higher requirements for the performance of frequency synthesizer.The designers pursue higher frequency spectrum purity,lower phase noise and higher frequency resolution.This thesis puts forword the design and implementation of a broadband linear frequency modulation signal simulation synthesizer.This thesis designs a 1 ~ 12 GHZ ultra-wideband frequency synthesizer system,the whole system includes the generation of linear frequency modulation signal,the extension of frequency and the regulation of output power.We choose an appropriate scheme based on the basic theory,then introduce the design and implement of each hardware module,at last test and analysis the system.The author is mainly responsible for the design and test of the radio frequency hardware.The first chapter briefly summarizes the background and significance of frequency synthesis technology,then introduces the domestic and overseas development,finally presents the main work of the thesis.The second chapter elaborates the basic theory of frequency synthesis technology,introduces Direct Digital frequency Synthesis(DDS)technology and Phase Locked Loop frequency Synthesis(PLL)technology,including the basic structure and basic theory,the working principle and related important performance analysis,then puts forward several hybrid frequency synthesis ways through comparing the advantages and disadvantages of two technologies.The third chapter firstly combines the advantage of DDS and PLL,presents a suitable scheme on the basis of the objective performance index.Then discuss each part of the whole system,including the generation of linear frequency modulation signal,the frequency extesion and the output power regulation,paticularly introduces the design and implementation of radio frequency hardware,including the key design method,such as the circuit layout and the design of cavity.The fourth chapter firstly shows the circuit modules,then testing each hardware circuit module,after making analysis of circuit test results,we put forward some testing experience in summary.The fifth chapter makes a summary of the whole thesis,analyzes the problems existing in the design and testing,at the same time comes up with several steps of following work.
