In the modern Electronic warfare,the traditional active radar to detect and locate the target will need to send out the high power electromagnetic wave signal,which results that it can be detected and located easily by the enemy.Airborne passive radar which uses external radiation source for target detection has strong anti-stealth,anti-reconnaissance and anti-jamming ability,so it has the value of further research.This paper focuses on the research of signal processing technology and engineering marginal analysis for airborne passive radar.It makes a very thorough analysis of the non-stationary characteristics of clutter based on the clutter model,and studies the clutter compensation and clutter suppression algorithm which can be applied to airborne passive radar system,in order to solve the problem of uniform clutter and complete the simulation and analysis of adaptive signal processing.The main contents of this paper are as follows.1.The signal model of airborne passive radar is given,and the radar equation,target range and Doppler resolution are derived.Then the clutter model is established by the method of coordinate transformation based on the signal model,and the distribution characteristics of clutter in space and Doppler frequency are simulated and analyzed.Finally,it is pointed out that the clutter of airborne passive radar has the range dependence of short-range clutter.2.In order to solve the problem of the range non-stationarity characteristics,this paper introduces two kinds of traditional clutter compensation algorithms,namely Doppler warping(DW)and angle Doppler compensation(ADC).On the basis of ADC algorithm,an adaptive clutter compensation algorithm(A~2DC)which based on covariance matrix maximum eigenvector is studied.Then the performance of the algorithm is simulated and analyzed by the space-time adaptive clutter suppression algorithm(STAP),and it is concluded that the compensation algorithm can effectively improve the clutter suppression performance.3.In order to study the boundary problem of airborne radar,the paper puts forward two kinds of non-ideal factors,that is,channel error and direct wave signal error.There are two kinds of direct wave signal error,one is the direct wave extraction time error,and the other is the error caused by the different direct wave extraction method.The effects of these errors on signal processing performance are simulated and analyzed,and the conclusion is drawn that channel error and direct wave signal error will result in the loss of signal processing performance or the target detection bias.
