Joint Shape And Material Modeling From Internet Images

In various applications of computer graphics,it is urgent for photo-realistic image synthesis to model the reflection properties of objects.Traditional modeling meth-ods need experiences and skills of the artists,thus are hard and inefficient.As the widespread of virtual reality and augmented reality applications,users now have higher requirement to the convenience of appearance capture.To attack this prob-lem,our paper brings a new method of solving appearance from internet images and internet 3D models.We first search the photos and models using search engines by a given keyword.Then we estimate the camera parameters to align the photo and models.Based on some priors,we simultaneously solve the lighting and materials.This method is easy to use and effective,and can generate visually plausible materials for common objects,without the need for the user's art skills.
