With the gradual deepening of information construction in our country,the data volume increased rapidly,the depth of the application data is also rising,we have entered the era of big data.In this case,the importance of the storage system is more and more obvious.Development of domestic storage is of great significance to decrease the cost of informationization in our country and protect the national information security.At the same time,with the rapid expansion of storage requirements,storage industry in China has reached the scale of tens of billions.Storage industry is gaining economic value.Due to the increasing of the importance of data for enterprise,more and more companies are starting to demand data storage with high safety and high reliability.For single controller storage products,though the controller itself is very stable and safe,but for some high availability and uninterrupted operation of the business is not enough,the application requirements in certain parts of the storage system(including controller,disk,power,etc.)failure,system business needs to keep continue to run,so dual-control storage system is necessary.The dual-control storage system described in this paper is a set of high-density,high-stability and redundant storage system.It is flexible in design and can be used in 2U and 3U systems.Both 2U and 3U system can achieve dual control,a single 2U system control cabinet supports up to 25 HDDs,a single 3U system control cabinet can support up to 48 HDDs.Dual controllers can image the data cache through the NTB high-speed data link channel established by the PLX8717 chip,to improve the overall reliability of the system.The SAS expanders of the dual-control storage system connect each other by the heartbeat link through the UART.The system do the logic and state control through the CPLD,do the whole fan control and voltage monitoring through the HW monitor.The system's PSU has built-in BBU,can be twice emergency power supply after the accidentally power-down,to prevent the accidental loss of data.The system also supports PCIE interface products,has a strong scalability,can be extended out of the network interfaces and SAS interfaces,and set aside a variety of PCIE device interfaces.The system is mainly used in the field of storage,high density,high stability,redundancy and scalability.Thesis's main contents are summarized as follows:1.Design and develop the dual-control storage system's circuit,including platform module(CPU module,DDR4 module,PCH module,PCIE bus module),power module,network module,NTB module,SAS module,CPLD module,HW MONITOR module,low-speed bus module.2.Design and develop the software debugging system and the CPLD software logic system which used in the underlying hardware system.3.Analysis the reliability of the dual-control storage system.4.Analysis the run and debug data of the dual-control storage system,determine the feasibility of the dual-control storage system.
