A design method of SDH transition equipment which can be used in special industry is described in this paper. General data signal which SDH can carry contain Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS485, Audio service and El basic transmission element of SDH.SDH is a kind of integrated information transmission network, which is integrated with the functions of data transmission, line transmission and switching functions, and the operation of the network is under an integrated NMS. SDH can realize network effective management, real-time business monitoring, dynamic network maintenance, the exchange between different manufacturers and equipment, and other functions. It has been widely used in telecom network of china, and the cost is getting down year by year.But Backbone network communication mode is still the traditional Ethernet which is currently used in coal mine and other special industrial communication. With more and more high quality signals such as HD video introduction, The drawbacks of data conflicts which is more easily produced over Ethernet is more obviously, and the not timely of signal transmission could lead to unnecessary risks, if SDH can be applied to special communication industry's backbone network communication, it not only has better real-time performance, higher security but also is very convenient to Telecom backbone network, building internet of things, and is conducive to the overall scheduling.The main contents of this paper are:The research background, research status and technology trend of SDH technology applied to special industry, the basic principle of SDH; the design goal and technical indicators and overall design used in special communications industry on SDH; hardware design method applied to SDH equipment applied to special industry, used ARM of ST company and Alter Cyclone ? E mainstream series EP4CE40 FPGA as the core chip of the circuit design, Interface part of the isolation module to achieve the requirements of the special industry, the embedded program design including operating system, software architecture, function realization and so on of SDH equipment applied to special communications industry; the NMS design method of SDH equipment including the element management system (EMS), the function definition and implementation, Machine interface and so on which applied to special industry; the realization and debugging of SDH equipment applied to special industry.The SDH equipment designed and realized in this paper which applied to the special industry has the advantage of good real-time performance, high safety, easily access to telecom backbone communication network.
