With the advent of new technology, advanced material and new weapon, combat element change quickly, the international security situation has become increasingly complicated. As a strategic commanding point of military competition in international competition, the technique for electronic countermeasure(ECM)will be increasingly contested. The detection performance of radar system is badly in need of improvement because of the emergence of new weapons and complicated targets.Coordinated detection system, which makes full use of the space layouts of the wide distributed radar systems,is characterized by good adaptability,multi-function,multitasking,good robustness and good detection performance, etc. This system,in theory, can improve the capability of anti-jamming and anti-stealth of radars and turn the reactive situation of game of radars and targets or radar jamming.Focusing on the challenge of traditional tracking caused by the work patterns of narrow-beam transmitter and multi-beam in coordinated detection system,as well as the problem of multi-site muti-target tacking, the centralized fusion tracking method in clusters and the distributed fusion tracking method between clusters are studied. The main contributions are as follows:1.The key technologies and outstanding advantages as well as the conception of coordinated detection system are introduced. The necessity of exploiting different fusion rules is analyzed and the fundamentals about target tracking and muti-sensor tracking are studied.2.The issue of non-applicability of traditional tracking when the array radar adopt narrow-beam transmitter and multi-beam receiver is analyzed. An improved track management method, which makes full use of the real-time work state of the radars and the state of tracks,is developed,in allusion to the problem of looming targets. This method accelerates the average initialization velocity and has higher probability of successful tracking.3.To solve the calculation complexity problem of centralized fusion,a new centralized fusion algorithm based on sequential cluster is developed.Compared with traditional batch cluster based centralized fusion, this algorithm can greatly reduce the calculation complexity, especially in a large multi-node radar system or under the environment of dense targets.4.Focusing on the issues of multi-site muti-target tacking between clusters, the problems that exist in traditional fusion mechanism are analyzed. To solve these problems,a new concept of “average marginal density”(AMD)is defined, and then,a distributed fusion mechanism based on this concept and generalized covariance Intersection(GCI)fusion algorithm, which is available for muti-sensor multi-target joint fusion,is developed. The mathematical derivation is also presented. All of the methods above have been tested by the simulations. The results of simulations show that the algorithms developed for muti-target fusion tracking in coordinated detection system is feasible. The comparison between different methods verified the high-efficiency of the algorithms developed in this paper.
