As a new radar system, multiple-input multiple-output radar has been one of research hotspots in radar field. Research about MIMO radar is mainly focused on target detection, parameter estimation and waveform design currently. Because of late appearance, research about the ECCM performance of MIMO radar under countermeasure is rare so far. As a result, the ECCM performance of MIMO radar with co-located antennas is studied in this thesis, which includes the anti-reconnaissance and anti-jamming. Research about anti-jamming of MIMO radar is focused on spatial field.The work in this paper includes the following aspects.Firstly, the signal processing structure of MIMO radar is introduced, which includes emission signal model and processing flow of received signal. On this basis,some common radar jamming and countermeasure methods are introduced.Secondly, the principle of radar signal interception is researched. Based on the spatial power distribution of emission signal, one of many important influence factors to interception, the performance of anti-interception of MIMO radar is analyzed. Intra pulse modulation recognition of radar signal is researched, feature extraction as a key step of it, the time-frequency characteristics of MIMO radar signal are studied, and the performance of anti- recognition of MIMO radar is analyzed.Then, by means of spatial filter, also called adaptive beamforming, the performance of anti- jamming of MIMO radar is studied. From the received signal processing flow of- MIMO radar, we analyze the characteristics of its joint pattern,include the width of mainlobe, the height of sidelobe and the degree of freedom. Aim at two nonideal factors in adaptive beamforming, we study some algorithms related to robust adaptive beamforming, and transplant them to MIMO radar. Combining the characteristics of joint steer vector of MIMO radar, we provide an algorithm with lower time complexity, then verify it by simulation.Finally, we do some research about mainlobe interference suppression with frequency diverse array. Ordinary beamforming algorithm will affect the reception of desired signal when the DO A of interference falls into mainlobe, thus leads to the performance of anti-jamming descends. The joint pattern of FDA-MIMO radar with frequency diverse array is angle and range dependent, thus can suppress mainlobe interference through range field. Besides, aimed at the periodicity of range in FDA with linear frequency offset,we improve it with logarithmic frequency offset,simulation results verify its effectiveness.
