Nowadays,with the rapid expansion of the Internet scale and the surge increasing of information,the traditional network exposes many disadvantages.Although computer technology,communication technology and application models have been in progress,the TCP/IP architecture which used as basis of the Internet has not changed,and the scalability,dynamics and security become increasingly prominent.Smart Identifier Network was proposed to fundamentally solve the drawbacks of the traditional network.In order to provide more services,SINET needs to deploy new network protocols.At the same time,the implementation and experimental deployment of new network protocols need a universal forwarding plane and a generic flow adaptation mechanism.In this thesis,a flow adaptation mechanism of the forwarding plane is proposed which based on SINET.In this mechanism,the forwarding plane can flexibly match the packets of new network protocols according to the control plane or the flow table defined by users.This mechanism can further adapt to the evolution of network address,support the expansion of functions and provide an interface for the control plane which is configured to manage the forwarding plane to facilitate the deployment of new network protocols in SINET.Firstly,the drawbacks of traditional network architecture and its matching methods with the new network protocol packets are analyzed in this thesis.Secondly the scheme of convection adaptation is designed in SINET.The hardware scheme of forwarding components is based on ATCA architecture in order to make network configuration easier and support the expansion of component functions.The architecture of modular multi thread is chosen in the software design of forwarding components.The working mode,the module division and the specific design of each module are introduced respectively,and the definition of the future Internet packet format and the design of the flow table structure which is composed of table group and multi-level flow table are explained emphatically.Then,the code implementation of the system is introduced,including the data structure and workflow of each module.Finally,the function of the flow adaptation mechanism is tested,which proves the validity of the design scheme.
