Research On Application Of Public Security Information Management System Based On Workflow Technology

According to the business requirements of Public Security System and the“Golden Shield Project”,the paper developed a management information system(MIS)for the Public Security System based on business platform.In the process,the principals of security,stability,simplicity and economy were strictly abided by.This system largely satisfied the requirement of the Public Security System routines.This paper introduces the theory of workflow into the design of the policing management system of the public security department.By combining with the practical requirements of the policing management,we designs a workflow based policing management system,which includes the modules of system management,user management,case login,case inquiry and case settlement.This system supports the automatic management of policing flows and satisfies the requirement of the whole lifecycle management of cases which is necessary for public security department.We analyze and design the mechanism for workflow driven and managing.Based on the analysis of workflow engine,we design the mechanism of management of workflow templates and driving of workflow instances by applying the mainstream workflow engine.This paper designs an extensible database of policing management system.With the deeply analysis of the requirements of policing management system,we model its entities with UML and map this model into the relational database in which the necessary data for workflow description and instance driving is stored.This database satisfies the requirements of existing policing work and has certain extensibility.We construct the workflow based policing management system with mainstream technology for development of Web applications.We uses.NET platform,MS SQL Server and MS Workflow framework to implement the system.The developing system combined closely with Public Secure business and therefore could meet the specific and changing requirements of the system.Besides,the system provided strong functions,easy maintenance and high security.It improved the efficiency of information communicating and sharing,enhanced the response speed of Public Security Sector and also had the certain guiding sense to the Public Security MIS system developments.
