Research On The Control Of The Organic Pollutants In Hard Drive

The computer has popularity in people's daily life,hard drive as one of the most important hardware in computer,its quality must be strictly controlled.The main reason affecting the quality of hard drive is organic pollutants in the hard drive,it will adhere to the disc or magnetic head,make hard drive read and write slowly,and even damage the hard drive.The main source of organic compounds is the sealant,which emits volatile organic compounds after heated,and non-volatile organic compounds on other parts.In this article,main research is the test method of these organic compounds in hard drive.According to the characteristics of the production process,a few factors that may lead to change the organic compounds are imagined,and the experiments to determine the factors of the real effects of the sample are designed.Then Combined with the experimental results and production experience,the optimization to improve or control these factors is proposed to improve the quality of the parts and ensure the performance of the hard drive.Most of the organic compounds in sealant are volatile organic compounds,so we can use the test method of Dynamic headspace-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry.This method can be the efficient and convenient test of chemical compositions.The organic compounds in other parts are the oil in the process of production.They are mostly of C20 or greater than C20.They are non-volatile organic compounds.So we can use solvent-extraction method to deal with these samples,then run them with automatic liquid injector.After investigation,the results indicate that the factors affecting of sealant emitting volatile organic compounds are UV curing energy,the content of compounds at age 0 day and the storage conditions.Therefore we should control these factors in the production process strictly accordance with the control line in the future.The factors affecting of compounds on other parts are the types of the lubricant and the ratio of cleaning agents.It indicates that in the production process we can change them into more efficient and economic alternatives.
