With the development of society as well as economy, automobiles have been greatly increasing. However, the environmental pollution resulting from the epilogue of automobiles is getting more and more severe. Meanwhile, as people's living conditions are improving, fitment becomes popular in general families and its released harmful gases to the living condition brings much attection. Therefore, atmospheric quality has become a principal concern throughout the world. Moreover, it has become a challenging issue as a result of the increase of energy consumption, urban population and automobiles. Accordingly, we are confronted with an urgent solution to the environmental pollution and the most important issue in ameliorating environmental pollution is to test the polluted air precisely, rapidly and effectively.Mass spectrometric technology combined with PEMPI(Resonance Enhanced Multiphoton Ionization) and TOF-MS(Time-Of-Flight Mass Spectroscopy) is used as a good method to detect pollutants. It is characterized by high selectivity, smart sensitivity, precise time differentiation and insensitivity of atmosphere, which paves the way for a rapid and accurate analysis of the polluted air. Hence it has been a popular means in testing the polluted air. This thesis reports some experimental detecting results of pollutants in the atmosphere by means of Laser Mass Spectrometry. Major contents and analyses are as follows:Firstly, tthe mass number converted from the time of flight is scaled accurately, and the converting constant is obtained.Secondly, the polluted sample gases were collected in the actual traffic locale and its spectroscopic were carried out in laboratory. More than ten kinds of harmful components are distinguished, including large amounts of BTEX, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and a great deal of plumbum.Thirdly, Benzene, Toluene and Aldehyde are discovered in testing the indoor atmosphere resulting from dope in the course of fitment. Meanwhile, it is...
