Design And Implementation Of Enrollment Management System Based On Data Mining Technology

With the continuous reduction of the enrollment in China's college entrance examination,in many colleges,especially in higher vocational colleges,the enrollment situation is not optimistic because of the decline of the number and quality of students.How to change the enrollment strategy,set up a reasonable professional,accurate enrollment plan,thereby increasing enrollment rate is a new issue faced by colleges.In view of the above situation,this thesis designs and implements an enrollment management system based on data mining technology.The system uses C#,ASP.net as the technical basis of the design and development,uses SQL Server 2005 as the database,adopts hierarchical structure mode,uses Visual Studio 2010 as the development tool to carry on the design and the implementation.The whole system not only achieves an automation goal in the freshmen's information processing,enrollment notice printing,registration and dormitory distribution,and also collects,integrates and preprocesses the data based on the data of 2015 freshmen of Shijiazhuang Engineering Vocational College to divide into training set and testing set.The system uses Apriori algorithm to calculate the support and confidence respectively of the college entrance examination grades,students' place of origin,enrollment major and registering report,analyzes the degree of correlation between the main factors and the other factors by setting up a threshold effect using the training set data.Then,the system verifies its correctness using the testing set data.Finally,the system selects the C4.5algorithm and treats the register rate as a classification attribute,candidate types,types of arts and sciences and the place of students' origin as the test attributes.Through calculating the information entropy and information gain data rate,the system compares the result and builds the decision tree.Then the system gets a decision model after pruning the decision tree according to whether the registration rate is greater than 80%.At last,the system validates and improves the model using the test set data.The system meets the requirements of informatization in colleges,makes the enrollment management more efficient,accurate and reasonable.The system also finds out the factors and rules affecting the registration rate through analyzing the enrollment data,provides a great help for improving the freshmen registration rate.
