With the development of social economy and the progress of Internet technology,The mobile terminal device is becoming increasingly popular, as well as the more and more mobile applications. Among them, the photo-retouching mobile application are becoming an essential part of our life.Therefore, this paper takes the photo wonder of Baidu as the main case of this kind of mobile application, and we first analyzed the social and economic development and the development of science and technology environment,then we analyzed its main competing products based on their product positioning, visual style, interactive logic, business model and user research.The main competing products includes Meituxiuxiu, Snow, Snapseed,Instagram and I-Movie.On the basis of the analysis of competing products, we summarized the current development stage of the Photo-retouching mobile application,including the advantages and disadvantages of them. The advantages of the mobile applications are interesting, easy to use, great variety, and multifunction. On contrary, the disadvantages of the them are:(1) the Image processing methods basically come from Photoshop, lack of exclusive innovation retouching function;(2) Follow the trend phenomenon is widespread, the product homogeneity is very strong;(3) Profit model is still in the exploratory stage, very few of Photo-retouching mobile applications can turn the web traffic into revenue.Accordingly, we put forward some suggestions for improvement and future development of Photo-retouching mobile applications. Generally speaking,each Photo-retouching mobile application should make different development strategy planning according to their existing problems, the core strengths and the company's own development orientation. To be more specific, the photowonder should improve the user interaction; the Meituxiuxixu should add more profitable channels; the Snow should focus on basic functions of the product to attract more new users and improve the viscosity of the old user; the Snapseed also should focus on the product itself, optimize the basic function;the Instagram should achieve more profit and realize the product value; the I-Movie should improve the video post-production function and optimize the product itself.Based on the above analysis, we can come to the conclusion that the Photo-retouching mobile applications are now in the state of vigorous development, however, there are still some problem during their development.So in our current study, we also provided some future directions the Photo-retouching mobile applications as follows:(1) Break away from the phenomenon of homogenization development is necessary, the unique product features should be developed;(2) In order to truly build a classic brand,the special function is needed instead of copying form Photoshop;(3) The exploration the real fitted profit models are require to turn the web traffic into revenue.
