With the development of the new media technologies, especially the emergence of we-media, communication carriers of the media programs also have undergone enormous changes. And the network homemade programs are showing rising trend in the context of the internet. At the age of big data, thanks to the explosive growth of global data and intelligent precise analysis of the data information, each video website of homemade shows are trying to innovation, that spread to the fine production, personalized content and accurate broadcasting. Considerable part of the homemade shows are not only quickly becoming popular thanks to the liberal program topics, low production costs, dapper content, faster transmission speed and other prominent advantages, but also because of the short producing cycle, they are being interested by wide audience. Which overthrew the traditional "20-80 rule," promoted to the formation of "long tail effect" of network homemade shows.The traditional "20-80 rule" stressed that in any given population, usually an important factor in the minority, about 20%, even if the majority of the remaining80%, it is still secondary. Traditionally, the traditional "20-80 rule" discusses the top20%, rather than the 80 percent of the bottom. On the other hand,by using big data technology, the major video sites have begun to attach importance to the production of niche programming after analyzing the audience market. At thesame time, precise analysis of the data enables video site clearly know the direction of audience's interest. On the contrary, we should have the dialectical view of the20-80 rule and the “long tail”, or combine the two: both optimization the head, and improve the tail, to balance the new media market.
