The wideband radar system have been used extensively.Besides fundamental function, the demand ofwideband radar systemin volume, weight, efficiency andcost become more and more strict.Antenna as theimpotant parts of the system, it has attracted a lot of attention.So it's very important to study wideband and efficiency antenna. This thesismainly study on a newly multi-layer dielectric resonator covered cavity backed slot antenna with higher gain and wider bandwidth.Firstly, the background and the development situation of the cavity backed slot antenna, dielectric resonater and substrate integrated waveguide are introduced.Secondly, a brief developing history of Finite Difference Time Domain(FDTD) method are introduced. by calculate the example of antenna, the FDTD method are proved efficacious.Thirdly, genetic algotithms are introduced. By analyzed the affect of each part of the antenna, the radiation mechanisms of the antenna are researched.
