With the light-emitting diode(LED) being vigorously promoted and applied in many countries and regions, the market share of T8 glass LED fluorescent lamp has been increasing. But now the LED light source of the T8 glass LED fluorescent lamp on the market is attached to the inner wall of a narrow glass tube, which cause some problems such as process tedious, poor cooling capability and the fluorescent lamp with smaller diameter cannot be prepared.In order to solve the above problems, a LED light source module based on glass- metal cooling was put forward in this paper, whose LED light source is attached to the outer wall of the glass tube, it is referred to posted outside LED light source module.The research of this paper is posted outside LED light resource module, the main research contents are as follow: firstly,the structure of posted outside LED light resource module was put forward, and the strength check, thermal design and process design were carried out; secondly, by the method of FloEFD thermal simulation, the effect of the materials structure parameters of the posted outside LED light resource module on the junction temperature and cost has been studied through the orthogonal experiment and range analysis method, and the optimal parameters of the 9W posted outside LED light resource module has been obtained : the thickness D of glass tube is 0.5mm,the thermal conductivity of glass is 0.5W/(m?k), the material of posted outside layer is A6061 aluminum,the thickness of the posted layer is 0.7mm,the coverage angle of the posted outside layer is 120°; thirdly, the accelerated degradation test of the posted outside LED light resource module has been designed and implemented, and the lifetime in different power of the posted outside LED light resource module was calculated, the life is 37601 hours when the power is 9W; finally, a 0.6m-12 W posted outside LED glass fluorescentlamp and a high-power LED chandelier was designed on the basis of the previous research results, the junction temperature of posted outside LED glass fluorescent lamp is 83.5?.Compared with posted inside LED light source module, the LED light resource module has many advantages : first of all, the structure that the LED light source is attached to the outer wall of the glass tube makes the preparation process more simple;secondly, the heat capacity becomes better through glass-metal composite cooling; the most important is that posted outside LED light source module can achieve self cooling and modular application, which makes the posted outside LED light resource module has broad application prospects and promotes the LED industry hugely.
