The aircraft engine is an important problem related to the safe operation of air vehicle. To ensure the faults of aircraft engine can be discovered and serviced in time, state monitoring and fault diagnosis should be applied in to the system. Oil wear particle monitoring is one of the important means for condition monitoring of mechanical equipments, which can provide analysis basis for fault diagnosis and condition based maintenance of mechanical equipments. Based on the study of the current technologies for oil wear particle monitoring, for the shortage of the current oil wear particle monitoring technologies and the demand of oil wear particle monitoring, the image of the debris are analyzed on the basis of image processing such as de-blurring, feature extraction, and type identification in order to supervise and control the engine condition with fault diagnostic.The particular aim of studying the on-line oil monitoring technology is to realize the real-time fault diagnosis of the engine system. The main contents are listed as follows.1. Using the optimized Wiener filtering method to restore the fuzzy image on the basis of analyzing the mechanism.2. Through variational level set model optimization, efficient image segmentation is realized.3. Multi-class classifiers was designed based on SVM, which offer scientific basis for failure diagnoses.
