Research On Mechanism Of Kindness Game Based On Alternative Reality Game

As an important part of modern culture, video games is affecting all aspects of our real life. Video games' moral environment has a subtle influence on the players,especially teenagers, and this infection will affect the moral environment and individuals' happiness in real life.With this prerequisite, The thesis uses literature study, typical case analysis to proposes a game mechanism of kindness game based on alternative reality game,The mechanism is devised to change community moral standards to subtly enhance the feasibility of individual moral accomplishment.Firstly, this paper analyzes the difference of happiness between the video game and the reality, analyzes the players' game motivation and discusses the main characteristics of the players. On the basis of this, the author analyzes the relationship between beneficence in real life and individual's happiness. Then analyzes the possibility to improve individual's happiness by combining game and beneficence.Secondly, this paper analyzes discover the advantage of ability of happiness enhancing in alternative reality games(ARG) compared to the ordinary electronic games. And inferring that using beneficence as a tool in a alternative reality game to reconnect the game and reality and enhance the community moral accomplishment is feasible. Then in order to prove the theory, author analyzed the well-known alternative reality games ‘Cruel To Be Kind' in the aspects of target, rule and feedback.Thirdly, author researches and constructs a game mechanism of kindness game based on alternative reality, based on theoretical analysis and case analysis, from the electronic game content design, design objectives, design rules and feedback design, interaction design in five aspects.Finally, basing on the mechanism of kindness game based on alternative reality game, this paper designed a game model, and designed a experiment to test the feasibility of the mechanism. The experimental subjects are all undergraduates. By using the questionnaire survey and interview, the experiment managed to get the game experience and moral experience of the game model.In conclusion, the level of community morality has a guiding role in community friendly, and it is of great significance to improve the community friendly degree of personal happiness. So there is a possibility that we can use kindness as a tool and reconnect the online community and the community to createa friendly community environment, and enhance the level of individual's morality and happiness.
