Radar signal processing plays an essential role in Radar system. Nowadays, the working environment of Radar system becomes more and more complicated, which makes more strict demand on Radar signal processing.Clutter suppression is crucial for radar. The performance of clutter suppression is an important index to measure how good performance of the radar. Firstly the paper introduces the develop current situation of radar signal processing, then respectively analyzes the radar signal which includes the transmit and echo signal and clutter characteristics, understanding the purpose of the radar signal processing. Aim at the echo signal of clutter suppression technology, we analyze many methods include the moving target indication(MTI), moving target detection(MTD) and pulse doppler(PD), and clutter map detection technology and the constant false alarm detection(CFAR) technology. Validating these algorithms by the simulation software of matlab and analysis the result. Combined the technical characteristics and development trend of radar signal processing, design the process od radar signal processing and research the radar signal processing technology of engineering realization about the algorithm. Design the hardware platform about processing system of radar signal processing which combining DSP and FPGA, that includes analog-to-digital conversion circuit and EMIFA and PCI bus as data transmission channel and tehe power module. The software CCSLink based on matlab, simulation target echo signal which is automatically generated code can be performed on the DSP, and finally simulation clutter suppression algorithm by programming the algorithm through in the software. Compared with the matlab simulation results and the simulation results in hardware platform,the consequences show that the design of radar signal processing hardware system can get abetter effect and clutter suppression can be implemented completely.
