The Research On The Media Image Of Children Constructed By Yanzhao Metropolitan Daily(2014-2015)

Number of children aged 0 to 14 in our country has reached more than two hundred million. Children are an important part of the society. In recent years, the research focus on the children increased year by year. The healthy growth of children is important for themselves and the whole society. However, Children's growth process will be affected by various factors, the media environment also affects children. As the main body of rights, children have the right to request the media to create a good media environment for their growth, and to show the image of children. The focus of media on children and children's media image construction, directly affects the audience's judgment of children's image, also reflects the media's awareness and attitude towards children's rights.In this paper, the Yanzhao Metropolis Daily in 2014 to 2015 reported in children was analyzed using the quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis method. Through the statistics of the layout, field, subject and reported attitudes, and select part of the report for text analysis, this paper further summarized the children's media image presented by the Yanzhao Metropolis Daily.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is mainly about the purpose and significance of the study, the reasons for choosing the target media, the summary of the research and the research methods. The second part introduces the agenda setting theory, and discusses the influence of the media agenda setting on the image of children. In the third part, content analysis method is used. By collecting samples and sorting, the basic situation of children's news are analyzed. The fourth part adopts the method of text analysis. In this chapter, we choose representative reports to interpret and analyze the images of children presented in the newspaper. The fifth part mainly discusses the problems of children's media image construction, and puts forward some suggestions for improvement. We hope that the media can pay more attention to children's reports and the media image of children in the future. In the end, this paper summarizes the full text, and points out the shortcomings of the article.
