Mathematical formula format conversion is an important part of mathematical formula retrieval system. Ambiguity formulas translation correct or not will directly affect the precision of retrieval system.There is no doubt that realize the ambiguity formula conversion can provide a more accurate search results for users.Facing the demand of providing retrieval result with rich semantic information and improving the retrieval accurate for users in math searching, mathematical expressions in La TeX formats usually are converted to Content MathML formats. For the problem of ambiguity formulas in the process of conversion, a disambiguity method for mathematics formulas which is based on the operators context was proposed. At first, finding the ambiguity operator according to the ambiguity operators mapping table. Then, getting the ambiguity operators context through the array traversal. At last, the specific meaning according to the ambiguity operators context content extraction algorithm was conjectured. The experimental results show that based on the type-system the method can deal simple formulas. In practical application, this method can effectively solve the problem of ambiguity formulas in the process of LaTeX to MathML conversion.
