The rapid development of remote sensing imaging technology to obtain higher spatial, spectral and radiometric resolution image provides the possibility, and requires an optical remote sensor itself must achieve higher performance. However, it is often contradictory between light and small size and high resolution imaging, which results in the optical remote sensor design and manufacture of facing more and more difficulties. We can get a large number of remote sensing images using simulation software in laboratory to simulate the imaging. According to the imaging effect of the remote sensor design to be feedback, timely and correct design errors, can effectively reduce the cost of research and development of remote sensor. Thus, on remote sensing imaging simulation research work as valuable.In view of the strong demand of optical remote sensing imaging simulation, this paper introduces the functional requirements and architecture of the remote sensing imaging simulation system, and studies the scalable design scheme and the implementation of the system. Then the imaging simulation function of the system is studied, which includes two key parts:1) The module responsible for remote sensor external orientation parameters interpolated for each imaging time, establish a strict geometric imaging model, positioning of each detector element's ground imaging point and its coverage area, the module is the core part of this paper. 2) Radiation processing module. This module can simulate the process of the solar radiation energy through the surface, the atmosphere and the sensor link, and finally generate the zero order DN value. Based on the imaging module that generates the data is exhaustively explores the implementation process of the Mercator projection and RPC model geometric correction based on. Finally, the nearly real satellite and sensor parameters as the data source for experiments. The experimental results show push broom camera imaging results, and verify the geometric imaging model and calibration algorithm is effective. Experimental results of remote sensing imaging simulation system can be provided to professionals, so that it can be used as the basis for remote sensing parameters setting.
