The paper is supported by a state project. According to characteristic of island and costal zone, a geometric precision correction method of high resolution Remote Sensing image is studied. The content relates to standard of choosing, principle of distribution and method of measurement for ground controls. Research on precision correction method is contained when there are enough and no(less) ground controls. Main work includes:(1)Ground controls is measured by RBN/DGPS. Choosing standard, quantity and distribution of Ground controls are designed based on measuring demand and image character. An arithmetic method of estimating the RBN/DGPS data stability is developed. Using sketchily corrected Remote Sensing image, route navigation and ground controls collection could be automatically realized by navigation and data collection system.(2)When there are enough ground controls, the images are corrected based on different DEM and different quantity of ground controls. Using the sensor physical model, 9 ground controls can get a high correction precision and SRTM90m can replace DEM of 1:50000.(3)When there are no or less ground controls, a method of high resolution Remote Sensing image precision correction is put forward. DEM is corrected by the offset between sketchily corrected image and DEM, and the original image is sketchily corrected with the corrected DEM again. When there are less ground controls, precision correction can be implemented by correcting the secondary corrected image with average offset. For the sketchily corrected Multi-images of the same orbit and photographed at the same time, the images with no ground controls can be corrected precisely using the offset of one of the images with some ground controls.
