Research On Emotion Model And Decision Of Service Robot With Personality

Personal service is one of the key topics in the field of robot. Giving the robot emotion is benefit to personal service. Letting it imitate human’s mind to make decision can realize genuine intelligence and automation. It comes to be the newest research direction and hotspot in recent robot decision-making field. We propose the Cathexis emotion model with personality and decision-making model based on the artificial emotion theory. The modeling and realization of artificial emotion for robot is deeply researched. So this theory lays a foundation for service robot working in public such as Terminal.Firstly, personality and emotion space is described. The mapping relationship between them is established via the PAD space,and the renewal mechanism with personality is proposed, based on the Cathexis model. The factor of robot personality,the tasks,and the Cathexis model of emotion is also considered in this system, and emotion changes more natural according to the extern stimuli. The value of emotion is provided to the decision-making model as input. The experiment results also confirmed the model accord with the rule of mankind.Secondly, the decision-making system based on the above emotion model is established, considering task and personality. The robots with different personality have different actions in the same task. So the mapping from basic emotions to basic actions was established,then the actions in any complex emotional status can be established using artificial neuron model. The decision-making method is implemented,based on lattice close-degree of fuzzy mathematics. The emotion is divided into two types: positive and negative. The most of robot’s output behavior is positive. The robot would also be affected,which means that not only the choosing of behavior is affected by emotion, but also extent of executing of behavior is affected. In addition to the emotional character of the decision-making impact of a preliminary study, the reasonableness of the decision-making methods is demonstrated in the final experiment.The decision-making method is confirmed by the “Funiu” robot. The emotion model and the decision-making method provided the reference value for the further research on natural and harmonious human-computer interaction.
